Daniel was asked to go to Washington, D.C. October 12, 2002, to attend a series
of meetings with various congressmen and other government officials. In the
evening of October 1st, Daniel and Rebecca had dinner with Arkansas Congressman
John Boozman. (see above photos) On October 2nd, Daniel was honored at a
luncheon where he was presented with the National Republican Congressional Gold
Metal for leadership. The presentation was made to him by Newt Gingrich. (see
above pictures). It was an extremely interesting and informative weekend. We had
the opportunity to meet and visit with a number of very interesting people.
The week afterwards, Daniel was appointed to the Presidential Business
Commission. (See picture below) This is a presidential advisory commission. He
has since been functioning in that capacity.
As of December 13, 2002, Daniel was just notified that he has been nominated for
the National Business Man of the Year Award.
The Lord is opening some interesting doors for Daniel. We covet your prayers for
wisdom, and that God's perfect will be accomplished in our lives.
